Welcome to the Truro Central School Library! As your librarian and media specialist, I am thrilled to help your student(s) become critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, and responsible digital media users.

Each student at Truro Central School has access to the school library throughout the week, as well as a designated time at which they can visit the library and check out books. Students will also be visiting the library every Thursday for their media special, during which we develop reading, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as digital literacy and safety. In order to ensure that our library continues to serve our school community as efficiently as possible, please encourage your student(s) to adhere to the following guidelines:

1.) Please be safe, respectful, and responsible with our books. Treat them gently and keep them clean and dry.
2.) Keep library books in a safe place when they are not being read. This keeps them safe from puppies, spills, and young artists who may want to color in them. It also makes them easier to find when they need to be returned!
3.) Books can be checked out for 2 weeks. Please return them on time so other students can check them out as well.
4.) If a book is lost or damaged, please let me know so I can repair or replace it.
5.)
Students in Kindergarten through Grade 2 may have up to 5 books checked out at any one time.
Students in Grade 3 through Grade 6 may have up to 10 books checked out at any one time.

I hope you and your child enjoy our books now and for many years to come! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Happy Reading!
