GOES TO SEA

Ms. O'Leary, our 5th grade teacher, set sail on a once in a lifetime adventure.  She was chosen by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) as a TEACHER AT SEA.  On Tuesday, October 9, Ms. O'Leary left Charleston, SC aboard the research vessel Ronald H. Brown.  She will be spent almost 5 weeks at sea in the Pacific Ocean helping to conduct weather and climate related research with scientists from all over the world!

Truro Central School students can check out books on ports, boats, weather, and oceanography in our Media Center.  A special display was been created to highlight these subjects.

We also viewed the cruise track of the Ronald H. Brown and view photographs sent by Ms. O'Leary during Media Fridays.  Use these links to follow Ms. O'Leary's journey!
