Throughout the school year, students learn a variety of technology and library skills both during our weekly Media time and in special small-group or full-class pullouts during the regular school day. Check back often for a sampling of recent and future projects by some of the Truro Central School students.
Read a Book...Cheer on the Red Sox!
Students were invited to read a book and cheer the Red Sox on to a World Series victory! Upon completion of a book, students (and a few teachers) filled out a baseball with the title and posted it on our Wall of Fame. Lucas Goshen was the lucky winner of the Red Sox poster raffle. One of his baseballs was drawn at random from all who participated. Thank you everyone who read and cheered! GO SOX!
SNOWMEN!
The First Graders present a snow-tastic book on the many ways that ordinary snowmen can do extraordinary things if they try. We learned about nouns and verbs and paired the noun (SNOWMEN), with a verb (something a snowman can do). The hard part was that every verb had to begin with the letter S!

Revolutionary War Celebrities
The Fifth Graders recently completed a research project on Revolutionary War "celebrities". Their research was top secret because at the end of the project, students dressed up as their celebrity and then gave five clues so that others could guess their identity in a "Guess My Name Game".
