Puffins
Last week, our class read Nights of the Pufflings by Bruce McMillan. This week, we will use various internet resourses to research puffins. Students will chose a type of puffin to research,. They will find information on the puffin's appearance, diet, habitat, nesting habits, and other interesting facts. We will then spend time in our writing groups to write a short nonfiction piece based on this research. Take a look at these links and you too cann earn more about puffins- "the clowns of the sea"!
